Step 1: Make the illustration with Claude and Runway
Give Claude a photo of your pet and a reference for the style and scene. It writes the prompt and runs Runway to make the illustration. Mine are August, and a keyframe of a cat in a pond.

Using the attached photo of [my pet] and the second image as the style and scene reference, generate in Runway a flat, simple illustration of [my pet] sitting in the painterly [meadow and pond] scene. Soft, calm colours, wide 16:9 frame, [720p].

Step 2: Add motion with Runway
Ask Runway for a 6 second loop where the first and last frames are identical, so it repeats without a jump.
Generate a [6] second seamless loop in Runway from the attached image, using the same image as the start and end frame. Subtle, calm movement only: [gentle breathing, soft blinking, slight ear twitch]. Locked camera, no cuts, keep the illustration style unchanged. [720p]
Step 3: Slow it way down with Claude
Stretch the loop to 18 seconds and smooth it so it drifts instead of twitches.
Slow the attached looping video to [18] seconds. Interpolate with optical flow, then apply cyclic temporal smoothing so the loop stays seamless and nothing looks jumpy. Keep it [720p], H.264, and save it as an MP4.
Step 4: Set it with Wallspace
Wallspace plays it as the desktop and lock screen wallpaper on my Mac.
What it costs: Wallspace Pro is a one-time purchase, and Runway runs on paid credits.
If you notice your wallpaper, it’s moving too much.
